Nicole by OPI Nail Polishes

Two years back, I remember getting excited when I saw Watsons Singapore had finally brought in NICOLE by OPI nailpolishes! Ive always found them to be the more affordable version of OPI polishes, yet with the same great quality. I was recently invited to Singapore’s first media event for Nicole by OPI, and there are some pretty exciting collaborations coming up!

I picked random colours at the event, and Sophia painted them onto her nails so we could take some swatches! She really amazes me at how FAST and neat she paints her nails!

At the moment, Nicole by OPI is available in an extensive palette of 30 shades in Singapore, and is available exclusively at Watsons, retailing at $12.90 each.

In 2010, Nicole by OPI announced the brand’s first celebrity collaboration featuring lacquers inspired by Justin Bieber. Within less than two months, the line’s initial run of one million bottles sold out!

Since this successful launch, Nicole by OPI has partnered with reality television stars Kris Jenner and her five daughters – Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner – to launch Kardashian Kolor.

In January 2013, the brand will release two exciting new collections with celebrity and television partners Selena Gomez and ABC’s Modern Family.

At the end of the media event, we were allowed to pick up to ten bottles of any NICOLE by OPI nailpolishes!
These are the nine I picked:

*the ones in red font are from the KARDASHIAN KOLOUR Collection

Another exciting thing we learnt from the media event was that if you visit Nicole By Opi’s official website, www.nicolebyopi.com, you can use their “Nicole’s Try It On Studio” which allows you to get a virtual manicure! So you can see which colour looks best on you, even before you buy it.

ALSO, the “Nicole Try it On Studio” is now portable with the launch of their very own Iphone App! That means you now have the ability to “try-on” a shade in store prior to purchase. How thoughtful!

The nailpolishes are extremely easy to apply with their brush, which I find is slightly wider than the normal brushes

Beauty Panel @ ABG

Recently I was invited to be part of the beauty panel at Aesthetic Beauty Guide’s inaugral event. Aesthetics Beauty Guide, or as we all call it “ABG” is a magazine that came out recently and focuses on all things beauty! It shares the latest makeup finds, aesthetic treatments etc. It has now branched out to Indonesia and Malaysia and from being an English magazine, it now offers its magaznes in Mandarin and soon Bahasa!

I was also featured in ABG’s first issue , talking about my thoughts on Rachel K Cosmetics. Click HERE to see photos on that article: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150254505046836.328485.249340391835&type=1

FacesBySarah for RachelK Cosmetics @ Watsons

Im actually reposting this because the original entry(together with other blog entries) crashed few days back. So Im reposting few old entries 🙂

In my previous blog entry, I mentioned how the lovely Leila Lopes, Miss Universe 2011, was down in Singapore, and I did her makeup. Some other gorgeous beauty queens were down in singapore as well, and Rachel K Cosmetics had the beauty queens present at their launch at WATSONS. I was there as the makeup artist the official makeup artist and the event can basically be summarised in this video:

Philosophy (in Singapore)

Exciting news, the FULL Range of Philosophy goodies will be arriving in Singapore, really soon!
Philosophy, the “avant-garde skincare brand” will be available in Sephora Singapore, from April 27th 2012.
And you can expect the full range of products, ranging from skincare, to fragrance to gift sets.

Here are some photos from the media event, I attended recently for PHILOSOPHY

This was the first time I smelt “AMAZING GRACE“. It was definitely too “feminine” for my liking. If you read my PENHALIGON ENTRY, you’d know i prefer strong musky scents. But AMAZING GRACE is indeed a very FRESH, FEMININE scent 🙂

Amazing Grace also has this LOVELY poem printed on the bottle:

Also trying out PURITY for the first time. I enjoyed the fresh citrusy scent that it had. This is like a multi-functional product! Ive been using it to remove my stubborn waterproof mascara and it does a FAB job!

So mark your calendars! April 27th is the day!

FacesBySarah for INVISIBLE-CHILDREN Charity

Few months back, I received an email asking if I wanted to be part of this First Annual Makeup Artistry Calendar. I was thrilled to hear that 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the calendars, would go to a charity called INVISIBLE CHILDREN. I thought it was a great project and at the same time,it was supporting a great cause.

So I just received the calendar in the mail last week!

and yes, thats right, 100% of proceeds go to the Invisible Children Charity!

The calendar basically contains photos of some of us beauty youtube gurus, makeup artists etc. I was pleased to see two of MY favourite youtube guru’s in the calendar as well!

If you love watching makeup tutorials, you’d recognize these two faces. LOVE their videos 🙂
